Here are some frequently asked questions:

Q: What are the arrival and departure times?

A: Arrival is after 3pm in the winter/4pm in the summer and departure is by 10am

Q: Are pets accepted?

A: We accept up to two medium sized, house trained and well-behaved dogs in Lovely Seat Apartment.

Q: When is the Leisure Suite available to guests?

A: From Sunday to Friday from 10am – 9pm. It is closed on Saturdays during peak season to enable essential maintenance and cleaning to be undertaken. On days when we need to completely empty and refill the hot tub, we will advise guests when it will be ready for use again. For short breaks which include a Saturday, we do our utmost to enable guests to use the leisure facilities on Saturday.

Q: Are there any pubs or restaurants within walking distance of Swaledale House?

A: There is a hotel with restaurant at Thwaite and a Pub which serves food in Keld – both are about a mile from the property. If you don’t mind a slightly longer walk, the lovely traditional Farmers Arms pub is at Muker, about two miles away. Torches and fluorescent jackets are provided to enable guests to be seen at night on the road.

Q: Are there any walks directly from the door?

A: Yes there are lots for all different levels of abilities. Walking guides are included in Guest Information Packs in the apartments as is an OS map of the area.
